I’m a freelance designer specialising in illustration and interaction design for web. I’m also a bit of film geek, dabbling in several areas of low budget film making , from writing and producing, to camera assistant and runner.
I’m a keen cyclist and skier, and i love to play volleyball too.
One of the beautiful things about Fernie, where I’m currently living in Canada, is the amount of creative people there are in town who are actually running a business using their craft.
Mike at Clawhammer, has a beautiful studio with three old fashioned letterpresses, and every Thursday he opens the studio up to the public so they can come and carve lino, or learn to type set. Here is the start of my hand printed project illustrating some famous quotes I like. I flipped the photo around so you can easily read what i’ve type set, in real life it is of course in reverse.
You will also see that there are some large spaces where the illustrations for the piece should go, I will be carving this in lino shortly and posting what I come up with soon.
